Simply Complex

It’s amusing to think that different versions of you exist in the eyes of others. Even in your eyes, you are a version of yourself at any given time. A person often fails to truly see themselves, and some may never achieve that clarity in their lifetime. A person is so complex that their puzzles always remain incomplete. Here is the contradictory part, people are also simple. They are so simple in fact that once you figure out what they like and get them a gift related to it. Their smile will be forever engraved in your mind. Is a person complex or are they simple? Must we answer this question at all? We are humans, simply complex humans. It all depends on how we want to understand others. In other words, a matter of perspective. Choose how you wish to view humans, and they will reflect that perception. Moreover, how you choose to view others reveals the person you are, bringing you closer to understanding yourself.

 Dear Ex, I write this with the hope that you read this someday. I am sorry about how things turned out in the end. It is heartbreaking, I wished and prayed for things to be different. Alas, life has its ways. I am not writing this to blame you in any way nor to hurt you but apologize and move on. There is no one to blame for the things that happened. It was just circumstantial.
